Our digital future has threats as well as opportunities, from the hacking of everyday software programmes used by billions of people to attacks on democratic processes, business activities and personal data. Cyberwarfare, cyberespionage, and cybersecurity are all concepts that affect everyone from sovereign states to individual citizens – often when we are unaware of it taking place.
