EIT Health is a network of best-in-class health innovators backed by the EU, delivering solutions to enable European citizens to live longer, healthier lives by promoting innovation. EIT Health aims to connect people and topics across European borders, so that innovation can happen at the intersection of research, education and business – for the benefit of citizens. The objective of EIT Health is to improve health education, promote healthy lifestyles, and help health professionals grow, sharing insights and disseminating knowledge. EIT Health share finding and efforts through citizen engagement activities, workshops, and skill development programmes, leveraging the expertise of more than 140 leading organisations spanning key areas of healthcare, such as pharma, medtech, payers, research institutions and universities.

The Master programme in Health & Medical Data Analytics program (HDMA) intents to achieve a greater integration of innovation and entrepreneurship skills within the study program. This new study track is funded by the European medtech consortium EIT Health and brings together four top-notch universities from different European countries: Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Universidade de Lisboa, Université Grenoble Alpes and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

The M.Sc. in HMDA aims to provide students with innovation and business skills in addition to their studies in medical data analytics. By connecting them with the community of EIT Health, students gain access to the biggest medtech network in Europe. Our students will be trained in an international mindset through a mandatory semester abroad, which is to be spent at one of the program’s partner universities. Practical experience and team skills will be acquired by innovative teaching and an early connection with medtech companies and hospitals in the course of their studies. The EIT label is a certificate of quality for programmes that combine excellent scientific education with innovation and entrepreneurship training. Graduates of EIT-Labelled degrees form the next generation of health innovators.
